Pearl Cafe

The sleek, monochromatic interior and attentive staff ensure professional peeps from nearby design and IT firms make Pearl Cafe their unofficial HQ. Breakfasters start the day with bircher muesli served in curvy glasses or elegant egg ensembles, including four kinds of coddled egg and tortilla with spinach, goat's curd and grated tomato. From noon, the menu switches gear, offering Asian-inspired salads and soups and multi-culti sandwiches, including a take on Vietnamese banh mi (barbecue pork roll) and lamb wrap with feta and olives. Fete-worthy coconut ice and house-made 'Wagon Wheels' couple nicely with Lavazza coffee. Life is sweet here, and a tad more affordable than at Pearl restaurant.
