Vince Lotito and Yvette Romanin (of Pizza Farro) and roaster Michael O'Loughlin have the feel just right at this low-fi gem, with a fitout of pale-grey weatherboards, rough, polished concrete, a low common table covered in arty doodles and a focus on gluten-free dishes. The menu star is a meat patty sandwich - beef and pork patty, salad, caramelised onion and scamorza piled into two slices of toasted spelt sourdough - and a vegetarian version. O'Loughlin's blend of three Brazil beans shows nice tangy fruit and a just-right toasty finish in a short black ($3.20).
