St Jude's Cellars

The floor plan has been rearranged a few times as St Jude's owners figured out the best way to combine bottle shop, dining room and bar in the cavernous space. It's working well now with the white-tiled bar running down one wall and the bottle shop in a black mesh cage in the centre. The monochromatic colour scheme, punctuated by canary yellow lightshades and climbing vines, still feels fresh, as does the compact cocktail list with its humorously named drinks (Mary Mangolene, Cubic Zirconia). Salty bar snacks such as polenta chips with mayo provide the perfect excuse to hang around for another drink.
