Modern Australian$$

Beer is king at this amber emporium, where microbrews and tasting paddles reign supreme. Not that the food is a greasy-chipped afterthought. Order a pint and snack on prawn cutlets with chorizo or confit duck rillettes. Mains include pub classics such as chicken parma, a light and spicy chilli con carne, and a teetering '3 Beer Burger' (beer-marinated beef, pilsner-battered onion rings and pale ale aioli). Dessert? Chocolate stout brownie, natch. There's a space for all seasons in this two-storey joint, with a dark-timbered beer hall downstairs, a large rooftop courtyard upstairs and a cosy club room at the back.
