It’s not unusual for this popular suburban pub at the edge of the Bangor shopping centre to be so packed that you can’t find a seat in the bistro. The food here has earned a strong local following and doesn’t disappoint. A bench table in the spacious beer garden – which actually includes garden – is the spot to nosh on a shared entree of crisp and tasty Peking duck spring rolls, followed by john dory fillets with king prawns and asparagus in asuitably light garlic cream sauce, and aperfectly cooked crispy-skinned salmonfillet. Divine.
