Bedlam Bar + Food

Contemporary

So there might be a few punters here for whom food is merely a means of soaking up alcohol. The menu suggests that’s the aim, too, featuring only a couple of salads among a party of crisp chicken wings, piled-high burgers with double-beef patties, two slabs of melted cheese, bacon, ketchup and mustard, or pulled pork with coleslaw and chipotle mayo. There’s poutine, too - thick-cut chips soaked in gravy and melted cheese. The curveball is that the hearty fare isn’t pure grease and calories - it’s good, hearty stuff. Don’t miss the fish burger, crunchy and creamy with tempura-battered whiting fillets, avocado and coriander salsa and habanero aioli.
