Cricketers Arms

14/20

Modern Australian$$

The Cricketers Arms is an interesting beast. Somewhat hidden in the byways of Surry Hills, the pub has gathered a dedicated selection of locals due to its offbeat atmosphere and surprisingly good bistro. The jovial kitchen staff are more than happy to talk you through your meal and the food is a good selection of fresh produce. The fried goat croquette with guava paste and sriracha chilli is a fantastic starter, and the melanzane bake is a vegetarian delight. The choice cuts of meat are perfectly cooked and a true surprise considering the tiny bistro's near-hidden location.
