One of a few 'Mexcellent' new spots in Sydney, this cool, cruisey eatery is up there with the best. Granted, no esta perfecto, but dishes such as deep-fried chicken winglets marinated with spicy-sweet agave syrup and pasilla chilli hit the mark and show off the bold flavours this style of food offers. Tortillas are made fresh daily with masa (corn flour) for tacos (three per serve), which have fillings such as unctuous chipotle beef brisket. Chic Mexican flourishes such as glass cactus in water bottles complement this smart, white-walled and wood-trimmed restaurant and bar, which pumps on weekends. The crowd is hip but relaxed, and waitstaff describe dishes as 'epic'. This is the beaches, after all.
