Visiting the Pottery Green Bakery is an exercise in eclecticism, the cosy, noisy space replete with pot plants hanging from exposed beams, books nestled beside vintage cash registers and a huge mirror. As one blogger noted, if it were a movie, it would be Tim Burton's baby. Food is a delightful range of old-fashioned goodies and all things bread - from a crusty breakfast baguette with crisp bacon, poached egg and light hollandaise to a traditional Vietnamese baguette with special soy sauce for lunch. Add a Toby's Estate caffe latte ($3.50) that's smooth and rich, while you choose which bread to take home for the weekend.
