Pottery Green Bakers

Contemporary$$

The Tran family’s Pottery Green isn’t just a nostalgically styled cafe doing a good trade in Toby’s Estate coffees and frothy pink milkshakes, it’s a French-oriented bakery as well, with crusty baguettes constantly replenished by flour-dusted bakers. And it’s a pie shop and patisserie, home to some very Parisian-looking chocolate eclairs. But the highlight is the lunch menu of Vietnamese filled baguettes (banh mi) and fragrant bowls of Mum’s Awesome Pho Beef Noodle Soup, beautifully presented with little copper dishes of hoisin and chilli sauces, lemon and bean shoots. And thanks to the multi-tasking, you can end on a lammo. Also in Lane Cove.
