Modern Australian$$

Before the Baron, Hills hipsters had to travel for their piccolo lattes. Nowadays they get that and more from this warehouse-like den decked out in recycled wood, milk crate seats and tattooed staff doubling as barista/bartenders. It's cafe by day and bar by night, with an ever-evolving menu. Grab egg and bacon on a big crusty roll for brekkie or lunch, and (although you might break the $30 budget) hearty eight-hour slow-braised pork with slaw and asparagus for dinner. Dishes such as crispy corn fritters with mint, watercress and peas are perfect to share and why not a whisky, too?
