The Goods on Crown

Contemporary

It's all Goods: the rough-hewn floorboards, wicker chairs, baskets of green apples, second-hand books for sale and, of course, the food. Joy's 'famous' oatmeal biscuits with white chocolate ganache are deliciously chewy. The juicer burrs constantly, making a range of more-virtuous fresh fruit smoothies. The Little Marionette coffee is very well rounded and smooth, and while the all-day breakfast and lunch menu has the reliable favourites accounted for, the griddle pans are the menu's bright, shining star. Options include eggs with tomato passata, haloumi and spinach, and house cured bacon. Presented on a chopping board, accompanied by a chunky slice of sourdough toast and a pat of butter, it is, as we've said, all Goods.
