The former Palace Hotel continues to court brew-hounds with an extensive list of craft beers on tap, some with diabolical alcohol content. Good job, then, the supping's as good as the sipping. Designed to share, serves are large and satisfying. Dogbolter bread and chicken liver and pistachio pate with olives wins the snack stakes, and gourmet pizzas make a group feed easy. If you're determined to eat solo, go the porter-braised pulled pork burger, the scotch fillet with green peppercorn sauce or a Sunday roast. The owners' goal is to get everyone drinking better beer. The food's an easy second, best enjoyed on the rooftop with a big Dirty Granny (cider, that is).
