The Local Taphouse

The sign above the bar reads Drink Beer so you'd be forgiven for thinking that's all they had. But never fear, you can match your Imperial red bier to a bistro classic, with many dishes incorporating the amber ale, too. Few morsels are tastier with beer than chicken wings, which come chipotle-dusted with a blue cheese sauce. Mains include stout-marinated hanger steak and ye olde fish 'n' chips. The batter is light and lagered, fish firm but juicy. The steak, sadly, was cold and we couldn't taste the stout, but the polenta chips it comes with are a smash worthy of another beer in itself.
