The charm quotient is so high at The Old City there's no need to add sugar to your coffee. Wiam and Anthony Farrugia have stocked the place with vintage traffic lights, record players, antique lamps, and children's toys for sale. Old Charlie Chaplin films play against one wall and - surreally - the magazines left out to read are vintage originals. The simple cafe food, you'll be pleased to hear, is today's rather than yesterday's, and the environmentally friendly coffee ($3.50) is from Newcastle's Sprocket Roasters, whose roaster has been converted to run on bio-fuels and cafe waste.
