When it comes to food, The Orient surprises on the upside, as stockbroker types like to say. Take the plunge and order the oysters from the all-day bar food menu and you'll be rewarded with some of the plumpest and freshest you've ever had, and at a bargain price. Continuing the seafood theme, the pan-fried Atlantic salmon (served with soba noodles and bok choy) is expertly cooked. The steak is one of Sydney's best and the salads (such as the unusual green pawpaw salad with capsicum, onion, bean sprout, chilli, peanuts, mint and nam jim dressing) are crunchy and intriguing.
