For more than 150 years the Rag and Famish has heard the cry of its thirsty customers, and it still retains its traditional charm. The weekday lunch menu is pared back, with quick pub grub catering to hungry office workers. There's more variety on the evening and weekend menus. In the warmer at the bar are three varieties of pot pie that shouldn't be overlooked. The shepherd's pie is moist, with lots of gravy and a creamy potato lid. While the ocean trout failed to impress, the chicken caesar salad is a winner, with the right amount of mayonnaise and grilled chicken breast.
