You might not see the nondescript sign, but you can't miss the inevitable and endless queue of die-hard fans at this popular, no-bookings city bolt-hole. With its dark wooden tables and stools, exposed brick walls, open front-window kitchen and efficient, iPad-wielding waiters, it's easy to see the charm of this funky Thai diner. The menu features a dizzying array of grilled meats, refreshing salads, stir-fried vegetables, noodles, soup and authentically chillied-up curries. Start with fresh spring rolls filled with crab meat and drizzled with a palm sugar syrup or maybe the Isaan-style sausage, with pungent hits of lemongrass, pepper and vinegar.
