Hotel Lincoln

Pub dining$$

A pub for the ages, the Lincoln has managed to move with the times without compromising reliability or alienating regulars. Nowhere is this more evident than on the blackboard in the front bar. Where the 'mixed grill' once held pride of place, today it's pork and fennel sausages with braised pearl barley, and 'roast of the day' has shifted aside for slow-cooked beef burgundy with carrots and peas. The grazing's good on a sharing list that might include duck rillettes and port prunes, chicken liver parfait and cornichons, and air-dried beef. A great selection of tap beers (White Rabbit, Mountain Goat) gives you an excellent excuse to settle in.
