Polish$$

In the spirit of this restaurant's name - pronounced 'naz-drovia' and meaning 'cheers' - try stretching the budget to include a Polish beer or two. It's good stuff, and just the thing to wash down terrific pierogi (Polish dumplings; we love them Russian style, with potato and white cheese filling and topped with fried onion and sour cream). The crowd is merry and the service convivial, particularly on busy Friday and Saturday nights, when the charmingly folksy room fills with people hankering for placki (moreish potato pancakes with mushroom sauce), top-notch schabowy (pork or chicken schnitzel with boiled potatoes) or ryba (white fish fillet topped with grated carrot and sultanas). Lovely, crumbly-textured Polish cheesecake is a must to end.
