Fruit punches can be all too sensible and civilised. Yet they don't have to be dull and predictable. Be a little unusual. Go a little tropical. Buy the freshest, juiciest, most sunburnt fruits and mix or blend.
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup orange juice
1 cup grapefruit juice
1 mango, peeled and sliced
1/2 yellow papaya, cut into cubes
1 cup crushed ice
fresh mint leaves
In a large bowl, combine the juices, drop in the fresh sliced fruit and chill in the fridge for an hour.
Serve in chilled punch bowls, with a spoon, over a mountain of crushed ice and decorated with mint leaves.
