Italian

'No half and half. No ham and pineapple. Only Italian mozzarella. Only Italian toppings', a chalkboard sternly announces. The pizzas here are simultaneously thin and puffy, chewy and charred, with super tomato bases - so perfectly balanced you'd think they'd been trained by the Russian gymnastics team. Meanwhile the fresh, milky mozzarella and fruity olive oil starring in a rocket salad must have been delivered hours earlier by one of the cargo ships berthed at the end of the street. The less-is-more approach doesn't translate so well to decor though: compact tables and dim lighting aren't overly dining-friendly.
