Thaila Thai

Thai

Thai food aficionados, leave your pretensions at home and come here when you want a big, honest feed for a low price - judging by the crowded streetside seating, there’s plenty who do. Tom yum delivers the necessary chilli-sweet-lime hit, with prawns (well cooked) and capsicum (unexpected). Stir-fry mains are big enough for two; flavour options abound, from lemongrass and chilli to blackbean, though they’re not particularly pronounced. But the protein (choose anything from beef to tofu) has a nice char from the grill and the cascade of vegetables heaped on the plate makes for a fresh, generous, healthy meal.
