The Glenmore Hotel

The Glenmore combines the charm of an old-school front bar with a rooftop restaurant (with a view of the harbour) that has learned from the contemporary hotels nearby. Pick of the entrees are the prawn twisters, tender, juicy and six to a plate. The mains, everything from bangers and mash to a roasted pumpkin and feta salad, are enough to turn every head on their way from kitchen to table. Even the humble steak sandwich, updated here with a floury bap, caramelised onions and a house relish, drew stares. Not for long though; it was eaten post haste.
