The Glenmore Hotel

Pub dining$$

There are three levels to this brilliantly designed pub – old-school drinking bar downstairs, cosy rooms in the middle and a party bar with panoramic harbour views on the roof. The menu is tight but covers all bases – a pail of spicy, sticky chicken wings is wonderful to share; there’s a steak, a rib, a chicken and a fish dish for protein fans; and vegetarians are well looked after with a huge roasted pumpkin, pine nut and goat’s cheese salad, and the handmade gnocchi with sage and wild mushroom is delicious. Leave room for the rhubarb and apple crumble.
