Contemporary

Alex Ververis took over the old DiVi Espresso in November 2012, changing the name, sprucing up the decor and putting a new spring in this corner cafe's step. Beans are still roasted in house, but the menu has stepped up, with panini, roast pork sandwiches, goat's cheese omelettes and all-day brekkies. The bright and nippy house blend caffe latte ($3.50) has a luscious head, and lingers with a bitey kick. You might even spot some roasting in the tiny 1.2 kilogram fluid bed roaster tucked behind the door. Be prepared to fight for a seat when the local markets are in full swing on a weekend.
