The Pyrmont Point Hotel

Good Food hat15.5/20

Contemporary$$

The mature Saturday night patrons at the Point speak volumes about its sophisticated vibe and top-notch food. Diners can eat upstairs or downstairs (the latter has spacious lounge seating). The Point beef burger has a hearty charcoal flavour, and the Portuguese chicken burger with bacon is equally tasty. The prawn linguine delivers a warm kick from a splash of chilli oil, but the standout is the salmon special, which is cooked perfectly and accompanied by a superior, crispy salad. For dessert we go a dense home-made brownie with ice-cream and a subtly spiced banana cake with caramel sauce.
