Bandung Rasa

Indonesian

A small, modern restaurant in Mascot's main street, Bandung Rasa has an authentic Indonesian menu with variety and depth. Try the pepes jamur or tahu - mushroom or tofu steamed and grilled with herbs and spices in a banana leaf - along with luscious beef rendang or fragrant steamed siomai (dumplings) made with mince, fish and prawn paste. The sambal, or chilli relish, table condiments are labelled mild or extra hot, and they're not kidding about the latter. If the temperature's high, chill with an es chendol, es kachang or es champur, aromatic dessert drinks featuring red beans, coconut gel, rosewater syrup, condensed milk and grass jelly.
