Cowderoy's Dairy

Cafe

Kids do well here, with vanilla yoghurt and Fruit Loops parfaits, 'googie eggs' with toast soldiers and cutesy funny-face bikkies. There's an adjacent park and playground too, where you can takeaway a jaffle and make a picnic of it. In the glass counter, the day's bake is on show: sausage rolls, seasonal vegie tarts, date scones and more. Egg brekkies do a brisk trade, as do the fluffy, buttery pancakes with roasted pear, caramelised walnuts and mascarpone. The coffee is medium-roast Allpress supremo, the tea single-origin and the chai a wet, hand-ground mix from Calmer Sutra. Leave a bit extra if you can- Cowderoy's donates its tips to the Sacred Heart Mission.
