Da Wan Lai the Poets

Chinese$$

The original Da Wan Lai restaurant is from Tsingtao, China, with a second in Eastwood, and now this addition is fast finding favour with its handmade dumplings and northern Chinese-style seafood served in a cool and casual piazza setting. On balmy nights it's hard to resist an outdoor table, but inside you can admire the feature wall cleverly covered in black chopsticks - the same utensils you'll soon use to pick up supple-skinned prawn dumplings and pancakes folded over a moist stuffing of prawns, egg and chives. Handmade noodle dishes and the fragrant 'boiling fish' are popular options and perfect for sharing. Also 125 Rowe Street, Eastwood 8065 1553.
