Part French part Vietnamese and tres sassy, De Vietnamien brightens the atmosphere on this innocuous Coorparoo corner. The Vietnamese part takes casual control of dumplings and wrappers, while the French part fills them and sauces the meats. Try truffled mushroom ricepaper rolls with goat's cheese and mint - a perfect fusion. So some finessing is needed: cute waiters stumble over pronunciations and fine dining etiquette, and some of the French aspects of the dishes need technical attention, but it's early days and this clever idea is worth supporting.
