Sample local flavours at these Victorian distilleries

Named for the South Gippsland town, Loch Brewery & Distillery has tastings and sales of their gin, vodka and, of course, beer.

Healesville's Alchemy Distillers makes gin, quinoa vodka and moonshine (un-aged corn-based whisky), and has a bar, dining room and accommodation.

Timboon Railway Shed Distillery in the Otways makes whisky, vodka, schnapps, limoncello and coffee cream. There are drinks and lunch daily, and monthly tours.

Bright's Reed & Co Distillery offers their gin, a restaurant-bar and weekend tours.

After making liqueurs for years, Daylesford's Herbal Lore has added whisky and gin to its tastings and sales.

Animus Distillery's gin can be enjoyed at their Kyneton cellar door and cocktail lounge.

North Bayswater's Bakery Hill Distillery makes whisky and gin. Tours, which conclude with tastings, are by appointment.

Visit Bellarine Peninsula's Suter & Sons when host winery, OneDay Estate, is open. There's gin, vodka, chocolate liqueur and its take on Gunfire, the old British Army mix of black tea and rum.
