Duck Duck Goose

Yum cha

Who says you can't feel like a celebrity at a cheap eat? Duck Duck Goose's bistro is all white spaciousness and groovy light fittings. The thoughtful menu runs from delicate dim sum to meatier dishes, many in two sizes- lucky, because there are plenty you'll want to try. Make one soft-shell crab, its airy beer batter encasing juicy crabmeat. It goes well with an avocado and tofu salad. Results can be uneven but super-crunchy prawns with translucent wrappers are a hit. There's an impressive range of teas, though at $8 a pot, they're an unwelcome reminder of our non-celebrity budget.
