The Night Noodle Markets are back. Kicking off this Thursday, Birrarung Marr will transform again into a giant hawker market for 18 days. And this time, there are Peking duck loaded fries, deep fried ice-cream bombs and more Pimm's than you can poke a skewer at. Nov 10-27, Birrarung Marr, Melbourne. Free.

Everything you've heard about the late-night fried chicken parties at Belles is true. Join Morgan "put it on a biscuit" McGlone for a feast of five family-style fried chicken dishes, including Chongqing chicken wings inspired by Danny Bowien​ from Mission Chinese Food, chicken and waffles inspired by LA-based Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles and even a Chick-fil-A American-style biscuit stuffed with fried chicken. Sun, Nov 15, 107 Swan St, Richmond, $65 five courses or $110 with matched wines.

Smokin' 101 Masterclasses at San Antone by Bludso's BBQ

The smokehouse king himself, Kevin Bludso, returns to San Antone by Bludso's BBQ for a masterclass in smoking Christmas turkey, beef brisket and pork ribs. You'll meet Kevin, an expert third-generation pitmaster and be part of the action as he reveals his secrets to smokin' good barbecue.
