El Jannah

The original and best Lebanese charcoal chicken shop in Granville. Hawa down the road is pretty good too but nothing beats half a chicken, some pickles and garlic sauce at El Jannah.

Frango Petersham Charcoal Chicken

Home to one of Sydney's most beloved chicken burgers. The simple combo of grilled chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomato and equal parts mayonnaise and peri peri sauce has cured 10 hangovers in the time it's taken you to read this article.

Bar Brosé

The super rich "poulet au vin jaune d'Australie" features pieces of Holmbrae chicken in a sauce of wine and foie gras butter, topped with crisp shards of chicken skin (which probably would have made this list if they were sold in a bag on their own).

Hartsyard

Hartsyard's southern-style fried chicken is so insanely good it named its cookbook after it, Fried Chicken & Friends. It may take the kitchen three days to prepare the signature dish, but it'll take you only three minutes to devour it.

Thirsty Bird

The Paddington

A whole rotisserie chook, fries, pickles and harissa. Best eaten with friends (or on your own, as a few days' worth of leftovers).

Moon Park

It recently announced it will close in September, which means you've got just four months to feast on Moon Park's refined take on Korean fried chicken, complete with sweet cubes of radish. Run.

10 William St

The Pinbone team are in the 10 William St kitchen and they brought their chicken burger with them, except this version has peach hot sauce on it and they're calling it a panini. It's on the secret menu and they make only 15 a day.
