Aria restaurant's former general manager Joshua Luff and restaurant manager Brett Windley have paired up to oversee the launch of a new restaurant opening this week on Sydney's north shore.

Greengate Terrace slides into Killara's hospitality cornerstone, the Greengate Hotel.

The period pub sprouts some minimalist design touches with pendant lighting and stone bar tops at the restaurant, while holding onto its heritage with aged brass and marble.

Head chef Robert O'Callaghan will punch out a menu pairing burrata with locally grown heirloom tomatoes, basil oil and pangrattato. Slow-cooked lamb shoulder also gets a look in.

"The menu at Greengate Terrace showcases modern Australian cuisine in our beautiful new contemporary restaurant and bar space," O'Callaghan adds.

Open for lunch and dinner daily.
