It's over for your winter waistline, CBD-dwellers. Pidapipo, Lisa Valmorbida's pastel-toned gelateria that took Lygon Street by storm with its fresh gelati and chocolate taps is opening its third outlet in Degraves Street on Tuesday, April 10.

The tiny shop used to be a travel agent and has been done up, like the Carlton and Windsor stores, by Rabindra Naidoo Design. A porthole looks out to Degraves. Inside it's all marble benches, pink parquetry and the classic posetti-system set into the marble counters.

There will be 20 flavours on rotation including the hits (malted chocolate, salted caramel), the rogue numbers (black sesame) and for the first time, a few fresh granitas such as raspberry and blood orange. Good luck doing the dash underground to your train, commuters.

Pidapipo CBD will be open daily, noon-11pm at 8 Degraves Street, Melbourne.
