Hankering for a serve of char kwai teow? You aren't alone. If it lands in your 5km sweet zone, you might want to swing past Chippendale's Spice Alley this week because Sedap Malaysian is pulling up its shutters for the first time.

The quick fix food strip has been noticeably short of Malaysian since Old Jim Kee upped stumps. Sedap, which means "yummy" in Malay, is punching out a large catalogue of Malaysian classics, including char kwai teow, the stir-fried flat rice noodle dish with prawns and Chinese sausage. There are also sweet and sour spare ribs on the menu.

The hawker-style Sedap Malaysian also serves Malay-style tea with condensed milk.

Open Sun-Thu 11am-9:30pm, Fri-Sat 11am-10pm.
