In June, restaurateur Maurice Terzini announced he was headed west, opening a branch of his Bondi restaurant CicciaBella in Parramatta.

It will finally swing open its doors at the Parramatta Square development on October 21, and it won't be alone.

Chatter on Parramatta eat streets that it would be joined by a new restaurant from the team behind Surry Hills' venues Nour and Henrietta proved on the money. Its new Asian restaurant in Parra will be named LilyMu.

While Parramatta hasn't proved a happy hunting ground for all operators – Jamie Oliver and Chophouse are among those to have abandoned the postcode – there have been success stories, bar-tsar Sven Almenning's Nick & Nora's among the stayers.

CicciaBella and LilyMu will have plenty of company. Rivareno Gelato is also headed into Parramatta Square, and Fishbowl and Betty's Burgers have already swung open their doors.
