Industry observers punting that the fire has been extinguished from the burger market might've gone too hard too early.

The crew from northside powerhouse 4 Pines Brewing Company are set to open a beer and burger bar at the epicentre of Sydney's burger revolution in Surry Hills.

The inner-city suburb is where the burger rebirth started with the launch of Warren Turnbull's Chur Burger (a venue which is admittedly now up for sale).

4 Pines confirmed it has moved on 557 Crown Street, at the Redfern end of the restaurant strip where nearby light rail work is hopefully coming to an end.

Burger openings were expected to dry up in 2018, but they've kept coming, with Huxtable in Redfern and 8bit at Steam Mill Lane.

When 4 Pines Surry Hills opens just before Christmas, the two-level venue will pump out burgers along with 4 Pines beer and cocktails.
