Your one-stop shop for flowers, seasonal vegetables and Baker Bleu bread has just landed in Prahran at Morning Market, Andrew McConnell's provedore/bakery pandemic pivot.

Located at the corner of leafy Grandview Grove and High Street, Prahran's Morning Market is the second outlet for the Trader House Group's all purpose corner store brand. The first, which operated out of Fitzroy's Marion Wine Bar during Melbourne's lengthy lockdown, gained enough of a local following that it was moved to its own premises on Gertrude Street once restaurants reopened.

Many of the items showcase the premium suppliers used by Trader House restaurants, which include Cutler and Co and Gimlet. Alongside the fresh baked pastries from Baker Bleu and coffee by Single Origin are salads and sandwiches for a grab-and-go lunch, fresh-cut flowers from Monbulk local grower Guy McDermott, eggs, milk, and specialist pantry items such as yuzu kosho (a spicy citrusy fermented Japanese condiment that is the kitchen accessory of the moment), chorizo, and chickpea miso.

Morning Market in Prahran will soon be adding a bottle shop.

In the spirit of becoming a full service general store, Morning Market is also selling some homewares, ready-prepped meals from the Meatsmith range for easy dinner, and will soon be adding a bottle shop curated by Trader House's award-winning sommelier, Leanne Altmann.

Morning Market Prahran is now open Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm at 579 High Street, Prahran. morning.market.
