The fruits of the $12 million splashed on the interior of Sydney's new highest bar and its restaurant sibling will finally be on show from Friday, with Bar 83 and Infinity opening at Sydney Tower.

Good Food toured the site, which is rich in luxe slide-in booths and $1000 chairs. Even the mirrors in the women's toilets have TV screens built into them.

General manager Troy Parry worked in New York City, and is keen to bring some of the Big Apple detailing and upmarket accoutrements to the space.

There are bright colours, dark colours and even a cheeky nod to pebblecrete.

But the star of the show remains Sydney – and the venue's jaw-dropping views of it from edge to edge.

As Good Food revealed last month, there's also news that will have seasoned Sydney diners licking their lips, with former head chef at the hatted Bridge Room Mike Dierlinger stepping into the Infinity kitchen.
