When's the last time you tucked into a parma in a pub? There's no better time than the present, as pubs across Australia unite to support drought-affected farmers with the Parma for a Farmer campaign throughout August.

For each chicken parmigiana ordered, participating pubs donate $1 to Buy a Bale. It costs about $20 to transport one bale of hay to a farmer in need.

The largely social media-based campaign was the brainchild of Amanda Kinross. Having witnessed the drought damaged effects firsthand, she came up with the idea and created a Facebook page to gauge interest. And it's growing by the day.

Buy a Bale provides meaningful support to farmers and rural communities throughout Australia by delivering hay and other essential items to farmers in need.
