After it announced its temporary closure more than four months ago due to COVID-19, inner west gourmet food hub Carriageworks Farmers Market is reopening this Saturday August 8 with strict health and safety precautions in place.

Market-goers will be required to provide contact information at entry to enable contact tracing, and hand sanitiser will be provided throughout the site.

This won't be the time for a spontaneous group adventure, the reopened market will be a shop-and-go situation and groups of 10 or more will need to book in advance. Shoppers are also encouraged to travel outside of peak hours and wear a mask while in the area.

This weekend's winter haul will see black truffles from Hartley Truffles available as we approach the final weeks of the truffle season, fresh organic fruit and veg from Kurrawong Organics, buffalo mozzarella from award-winning Vannella Cheese and the much-loved fermented Crumpets by Merna.
