Cheesemonger makes the cut, then doesn't

Spring Street Grocer cheesemonger Anthony Femia has placed a respectable fourth in the inaugural competition to find the world's best cheesemonger. The only Australian in the competition, Femia led the field of 10 finalists for most of the Concours Mondial du Meilleur Fromager, held in Tours in the Loire Valley: ''I would have loved to have placed but faltered on the cutting section of cutting different cheeses to an exact weight,'' he told Espresso. ''It gives me the hunger to do better next time.''
