When TV chef, former Tetsuya's head chef and current Three Blue Ducks co-owner Darren Robertson tweeted he was retiring from professional cooking, it had tongues wagging and phones ringing up and down the east coast.
"I was wondering if people still use Twitter, so I put it out there," the chef tells Good Food.
The wording of Robertson's tweet wasn't lost on fans of Ultimate Fighting Championship star Conor McGregor, who the chef was parodying.
In McGregor style, Robertson announced himself as back on the pans within 12 hours. "Retirement's overrated ... Back to work today," he tweeted.
