If a visit to the Kiama Blowhole is on your holiday to-do list, then we've got a food tip almost within touch of its spray.

After a decade in the big smoke working in branding for design agencies Moon and Saatchi in Sydney, Stan Crinis returned to his south coast roots, launching Diggies in Wollongong.

Now he's taking Diggies to Kiama, opening the doors on Wednesday.

It's pretty simple fare, but just the trick for blowhole-soaked tourists. Prawn rolls, buttermilk pancakes, vegan and gluten-free options and, for those with no luck with a line, fish and chips.

Rebecca Riles of Roots and Wings has styled the 110-seater. Expect plenty of plants and clean white finishes. Oh, and there are sundowner cocktails.
