You're not alone if you're finding it difficult keeping up with all the venues popping up around the former Sydney Entertainment Centre site in Haymarket.

Maker's Dozen has opened its doors, and a new venue from Golden Century, XOPP, will follow later this month.

There's also a straggler to the party, the crew from Devon opening DOPA Don and Milk Bar.

The 70-seat eatery is all pastels, banquettes and timber.

Sydneysiders don't live on sweet treats alone, so save some room for the 20 varieties of Japanese donburi (rice bowl dish).
