It closed its doors in 2017, but Sydney's Gastro Park has risen from the dead. Kind of.
A Good Food spy reported seeing Gastro Park's signature wagyu grissini and a seared salmon, pink grapefruit, cucumber and holy basil being served at a recent dinner in a Sydney home. Was someone ripping off hatted chef Grant King's famed dishes?
"No, I've started my own business, Smile Catering," King tells Good Food.
The chef, who recently departed Sydney's QT Hotel, says his high-octane food can be recreated outside a restaurant kitchen. "I'm doing lots of simple stuff as well," he says.
