Barely 12 months ago, Shepparton expat Greg Brassil launched his first Melbourne venue, the queues-out-the-door popular Addict Food and Coffee in Fitzroy. Now he has stepped out on his own to "have a crack at the corporate market" with a new speciality coffee bar in the heart of the CBD.

After being made an offer they couldn't refuse, Brassil and his former Addict business partner, Joe Ventura, sold up and went their separate ways a couple of months ago.

Brassil found the laneway-facing CBD site soon after and says he's pleased with the chance to downsize and simplify with the new coffee-focused venue.

Alongside coffee from Small Batch and Market Lane, you'll find Short Stop doughnuts, Bakewell & Co sweet pies, Noisette pastries and Five & Dime Bagels. Menu picks include uncomplicated joys such as toast with feta, beetroot and apple slaw, or classic grainy toast with Vegemite and avocado.

In keeping with All Good's simple offering, the fitout is stylishly minimal. Along with cabinetry and furniture made by Brassil and his dad Greg Snr, the 24-seat space features artwork by photographer Nathan Mallan, plants by Loose Leaf and timber benches by Ingrain Design.

Open Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm.
